Miajima

This is the famous floating Torii (symbolic gate entrance to shrine area) of Miajima Island, near Hiroshima. I spent some time there with Mr. Mitsui, a co-worker of Tamagaki san.

Like in Nara, you can see a lot of deers walking around freely in the Miajima area. They are very used to humans, and they usually try to snatch pamphlets or clothes of visitors passing by. Some of the bravest even enter the port building and start eating souvenirs and foodstuff of unattentive people.
